Enhancing Public Safety: The Urgent Need for AEDs in Malls and Condos

Kuala Lumpur, May 3, 2025 – Seputeh Member of Parliament, is calling for the urgent installation of more Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in public areas of shopping malls and condominiums. This initiative aims to bolster public safety given the high prevalence of heart disease in Malaysia.

AED are vital, battery-operated devices that analyze heart rhythms and deliver life-saving electrical shocks (defibrillation) to help revive individuals experiencing cardiac arrest, significantly improving their survival rates.

Official installation ceremony of the AED donated by RENN Asia Wellness and Rotary Club of Ara Damansara (RCAD) for Vivo@9Seputeh Retail Centre. This crucial AED, located at the Vivo visitor drop-off point, will benefit approximately 10,000 residents, tenants, shoppers, regular visitors, and parents and students from an international school.

RENN Asia Wellness and the Rotary Club of Ara Damansara exemplary community collaboration, highlighting its potential to save lives and enhance public safety in Kuala Lumpur.
